GW Engineering MS/Certificate Orientation – Fall 2024

Registration for the in-person orientation is required due to limits on the number of attendees. This will include information covered during previous online sessions, as well as a current student panel discussion. Attendance is not required if you have already attended an online orientation session.

GW Engineering PhD Orientation – Fall 2024

Please note: This event is only open to incoming incoming GW Engineering PhD students starting their program in the Fall 2024 semester. Registration is required for this event.

New Graduate Student Welcome Reception & Student Services Fair

Join your fellow new graduate students for a celebratory reception with light refreshments and hear from GW leadership. At our Student Services Fair, you will have the opportunity to explore a variety of services available to support you during your time at GW: International Services Office, Student Affairs, Office of Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement, IT, SGA, Military and Veteran Services, and much more!

Additionally, you can look forward to asking any lingering questions about the GW student experience and living in the DC area during the Student Panel, composed of current graduate students and hosted by the Student Government Association President.

GW Engineering Welcome Happy Hour

Please join the Office of Graduate Admissions and Student Services at a welcome happy hour for GW Engineering graduate students. Please stop by and join us for drinks and light hors d'oeuvres while we socialize and gear up for the new semester!

This is a first come, first serve event for GW engineering graduate students only, and space is limited. You must bring your passport or driver's license to confirm your age. Please also bring your GW student ID card as we will be verifying that you are a GW Engineering graduate student prior to entering the event.
